Award winners of the 11th Serbian Fantastic Film Festival

In the honor of recently deceased Serbian director Uroš Stojanović, the 11th Serbian Fantastic Film Festival was officially closed with the screening of his movie "Čarlston za Ognjenku".

Jury members Victor Boulankin, founder of Russian horror film festival Drop, writer and screenwriter Pavle Zelić and Nemanja Jovanov, visual artist and writer, have decided to award the following films with prestigious Oscul award:

In the category of best Serbian movie, award went to a movie "Čuvar", directed by Matija Milutinović. In the category for best visual effects, Oscul went to "Equilibrium", a film by Mirela Srebrić. Movie "Kris", by author Ivan Stančić, have won Oscul for best screenplay.

Oscul for the best movie from the region (without Serbia) went to Ivan Ramadan from Bosnia and Hercegovina for movie „Aždaja“.

Festival organization decided to award French movie "Black bear" by directors Méryl Fortunat –Rossi and Xavier Seron as the best film in the international category.

Film "2116", by Janko Đurić, has won the audience award.

Jury members gave special mentions to a movie ''Death room" directed by Nemanja Ćeranić.

One of the jury members, honorable guest Victor Boulankin was also awarded by Oscul for his accomplishments in the horror genre.


Zombie walk

Belgrade’s 4th Zombie walk was a special feature of our festival with more than 300 zombies on the street!

Awards for the best masks are the following:

Best female mask – Miss Zombie (Katarina Bjelobrk): makeup artist Sandra Nikolić

Best male mask – Mister Zombie (Miloš Škobalj): makeup artist Mila Đenadić

Best children mask - Little Miss Zombi Sunshine (Anđela Kostić): makeup artist Mirko Milinković.

Zombie walk jury board were Bojana Mihajlović, Boris Langura and Darko Kenig.

Zombie walk had a humanitarian character and all the collected resources are transferred to Kumodraška adult center.

11th Serbian Fantastic Film Festival was once again visited by lots of audience from Serbia as well as from abroad. The festival is organized by "Mladi kadrovi" association from Belgrade, partnered with Belgrade Youth center, Serbian film center and sponsored by Culture and information ministry department.

11th Festival of Serbian Fantasy Film

11th Festival of Serbian Fantasy Film (FSFF) will be held at in Belgrade Youth Center from the 30th of September to the 3rd of October. Festival is organized by the association "Young shots" situated in Belgrade, with the support of the Ministry of culture and information, Belgrade Youth Centre and Film center Serbia.

The competition program of this year's festival will contain thirty movies from all around the world (Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, USA, Russia, Italy, Spain, France and Denmark). More than five hundred authors have submitted their movies, competing for the main prize the Oskull.

A Belgrade jazz duo consisting of Katarina Ranković and Teodora Sarić will open the festival on September 30th along with the movie “Incarnation” directed by Filip Kovacevic.

In addition, on the same day, the 4th Belgrade Zombie walk will start from Belgrade Youth Center where more than three hundred followers will make a tour circling around the city center.

On the second day of the Festival, On October 1st, Russian director Viktor Boulankin will hold a Master Class on the theme of Russian horror movie.

During the Festival, along the main program, visitors will have opportunity to see costume exhibition “Pumpkin workshop”, illustrations of Igor Krstić and Miodrag Jovanović, photos of Milene Pešut, and also to enjoy promotion of the new book of Nemanja Jovanov “Whiteness” (Belina).

There are three competition programs of the festival: national, regional and international.  Jury composed of three members: Viktor Boulankin, Đorđe Miljenović and Pavle Zelić, will decide the winners of the programs. 

Oskull awards will be presented on October3rd, at 7pm, in Amerikana hall, in Belgrade Youth Center.
